The Great West Chase
The Great West Chase is a chip-timed running event held in the Westchase community of Northwest Hillsborough County in Tampa, Florida. The event features courses that are USATF/RRTC nationally certified. Organized by The World of Westchase, this event serves as a charity race with proceeds benefiting a local Title 1 school.
Participants can choose from several race options:
- 10K Run (6.2 miles)
- 5K Run (3.1 miles)
- Challenge Run (9.3 miles)
- Kids Fun Run (440 yards)
The start and finish lines are located at Village Plaza in West Park Village, specifically at the corner of Brompton Drive and Montague Street. For the 5K Run, participants travel westward along Linebaugh Avenue to the turnaround point at Radcliffe Drive before returning via the same route. The 10K Run consists of two loops of this 5K course.
The Challenge Run requires participants to complete the 10K in under 70 minutes to proceed with the 5K portion, totaling three loops of the course. The Kids Fun Run follows a shorter loop around the West Park Village Plaza starting from the intersection of Brompton Drive and Montague Street.
