YMCA Santa Run 10K - Frederick
The YMCA Santa Run is a multi-distance event held at Monocacy Village Park in Frederick, Maryland on December 12, 2026. The event offers in-person and virtual options and includes organized races for adults and children.
Distances
- 10K - two laps of the 5K course
- 5K - out-and-back on Shifferstadt Boulevard with two U-turns
- 1 Mile - out-and-back to Mohican Drive
- Virtual options are available for the 10K, 5K, and 1 Mile and can be completed anywhere.
Packet pick-up is at the Downtown YMCA on designated days before the event; packets are not available on race day. Virtual participants living more than 50 miles from Frederick may opt to have their packet mailed for a fee; in-person packets will not be shipped. Virtual runners receive a digital bib and may submit treadmill or manual results through the results page.
Race day facilities include a race pavilion with snacks and water, porta-potties near the pavilion, and a First Aid/AED station with certified personnel. Dogs are not permitted on the course except registered service animals. Children riding in strollers do not need registration.
All participants, in-person and virtual, receive a finisher medal that also serves as a holiday ornament. In-person awards include overall male and female winners for the 5K and 10K and a Best Holiday Costume Award, with announcements made at the pavilion after the races.
