2026 South Germantown Park 5k, 10k, & 15k

The event takes place on January 11 at Maryland Sportsplex (South Germantown Recreational Park), 18041 Central Park Circle, Boyds, MD. Points from each distance count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack Series, and toward the Winter Series. A virtual run option is available. Course, services, and logistics

The route is paved around the sportsplex and includes rolling hills. The 5k is one loop, the 10k is two loops, and the 15k is three loops. The event is chip timed. Runners receive a finisher medal and a technical (Dri-fit) event shirt. T-shirt sizes are guaranteed for runners registered before December 30; extras are available after that on a first-come, first-served basis.

Water stations:

Five on the 15k at approximately miles 1.5, 3.1, 4.6, 6.2, and 7.7.
Three on the 10k at approximately miles 1.5, 3.1, and 4.6.
One on the 5k at approximately mile 1.5. Gatorade will be available at some stations.

Packet pickup is available at the event; participants are advised to arrive about one hour before their race to check in. Race day registration is offered; shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for same-day registrants. Registration fees listed in advance are: 5k $30, 10k $45, 15k $55 (prices noted with increases after Dec 31 and a $5 increase on race morning).

Results, awards, and other notes

Live results will be posted on event results services, with final results and series points published the Monday after the race. Photos taken by staff will be posted after the event. Awards include top three men and women overall and first and second place male and female in age groups 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+; runners who place top three overall are not eligible to also win their age group.
