The Great Sprout Scuttle & ChristMESS
The event takes place on 13 December 2026 at Normanby Hall Country Park & Gardens. It combines trail running and family festive activities with charity fundraising linked to Lindsey Lodge Hospice.
Distances:
- 5k trail run (dog friendly)
- 10k trail run (licensed through the Trail Running Association and run under UK Athletics guidance)
- 3k ChristMESS family fun event
The 5k and 10k are off-road trail runs on country-park terrain; organisers note typical December conditions may include muddy sections and local wildlife. Entry fees for the 5k and 10k are listed between £20.50 and £23.50.
The ChristMESS 3k is an untimed family event run in waves of 200 every ten minutes. Participants are invited to wear Christmas outfits or festive pyjamas and to visit several festive mini adventures along the route. Children under nine must be accompanied by an adult. The ChristMESS entry fee is £10 and participants are encouraged to raise around £5 per person in sponsorship.
Santa's Super Sleigh Challenge is a team event for participants aged 16 and over. Teams consist of five people; the stated charge is £20 per team member and organisers say 100% of the team ticket price will be donated to Lindsey Lodge Hospice. Entry is limited to twelve teams.
Lindsey Lodge Hospice is described as a local provider of specialist palliative and end of life care with services including symptom management, physiotherapy, lymphoedema care, complementary therapy, nursing and bereavement support.
