Event overview
Hardmoors 26.2: Roseberry is a trail race meeting held at Sea Cadets Hall, Belmangate, Guisborough, TS14 7AQ. The event offers three race options within the Hardmoors 26.2 series: a Trail Marathon, a Half Marathon and a Trail 10k. The overall entry limit is 400 participants. Entries open in late 2025 and close on 14 August 2026.
Distances and limits
- Trail Marathon - ascent 4,850 ft; time limit 10 hours.
- Half Marathon - ascent 3,200 ft; time limit 5 hours.
- Trail 10k - ascent 1,600 ft; time limit 3 hours.
Entry fees and categories
Entry fees are listed per race and for attached/unattached categories (example: Marathon £49 attached / £51 unattached; Half Marathon £36 / £38; 10k £28 / £30). Prize categories cover male and female 1st–3rd places, veteran age groups (50, 60, 70, 80+ where applicable) and a non-binary category.
Navigation, safety and rules
Courses are not taped or signed. Competitors must download, print and carry route descriptions and maps; GPX files and route documents are provided. Marshalls cover road crossings and there are foot sweepers. Mandatory kit is required for all races and includes a waterproof jacket, hat, gloves, spare layer (where listed), 500 ml of water, route map/description, survival bag and foil blanket, and means to attach a race number. The event is cupless. Dogs are not permitted. Refunds and deferrals are not provided; transfers and other changes are subject to the event terms and closing-date restrictions.
