Hardmoors 26.2 Roseberry Trail Races
Hardmoors 26.2 Roseberry Trail Races are scheduled for Sunday 29 August 2027 at Guisborough Rugby Club, Belmangate, Guisborough TS14 7BB. The event comprises three organised races within the Hardmoors 26.2 series and has a limit of 330 entrants.
- Trail Marathon : 30; ascent 4850 feet; time limit 10 hours
- Half Marathon : 14.5; ascent 3200 feet; time limit 5 hours
- 10k : 9; ascent 1600 feet; time limit 3 hours
Competitors must carry mandatory kit for all distances, including a waterproof jacket with taped seams, hat or multi‑functional neckwear, gloves, 500 ml of water or sports drink, a printed route description and printed route map, an emergency survival bag and foil blanket, a whistle, and a method to attach the race bib (safety pins, race belt or event clips). The routes cross exposed areas of the North York Moors; the Trail Marathon reaches high ground for several miles.
The races are not fully marked; organisers provide downloadable route descriptions, maps and GPX files and participants are responsible for navigating. Registration parking at the venue is very limited and nearby public car parks should be used. The event is cupless so runners should bring a cup for checkpoint and finish drinks. Entry fees start from £31 with specific prices published for each distance. Prize categories cover male, female, veteran age groups and non‑binary where entrant numbers apply.
