The Great Recycle Race-Earth Day
The event takes place on April 22, 2027 at Columbia Park, 700 Columbia Street, Shreveport, LA 71101. The course is entirely inside the park and covers the three mile distance by repeating roughly three 1 mile loops. The event is timed and a refreshment will be provided.
There are two entry options for the same distance. The paid options are $10 for the entry that includes a shirt and $5 for the entry without a shirt. Shirts and medals come from a previous race but are new, unawarded stock. Participants who choose the no shirt option will have the donated shirt given to Woody's Home for Veterans.
Registration opens on January 1, 2027 and closes on April 22, 2027. The race is organized to reuse surplus shirts and medals while offering a measured course and post race refreshment. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
