Red Dirt Rambler

Red Dirt Rambler is an endurance trail event organized by Texas Outlaw Running at 1North Adventure Trails in Shreveport, Louisiana. The event uses a 9 mile loop on dirt single-track trails and offers multiple distance options.

Distances:

  • 100K
  • 60K
  • Marathon
  • 30K
  • 15K
  • 15K RUCK

The loop has about 430 feet of elevation gain per 9 mile circuit. The course is fully marked and supported with aid station food and hydration. Historic average temperatures for the event period are listed near 46 to 68 degrees. Organizers do not provide disposable cups, so participants are expected to use their own hydration systems.

Pacing and ruck rules are specified: only one pacer per runner is allowed and pacers are restricted to the final loop of the 60K and the final three loops of the 100K. Ruck weight requirements apply: 30 lb for participants over 150 lb and 20 lb for those under 150 lb; ruck sacks or vests are permitted. Race gear and awards include finisher medals, a 100K finisher silver buckle, shirts for early registrants, and placement awards for most distances. Registration has staged pricing periods and closes on Friday, November 6. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
