This community fundraising event benefits the Betty and Leonard Phillips Deaf Action Center and uses the Deaf Action Center at 601 Jordan St., Shreveport, LA, as the start and finish location.

Registration follows tiered pricing with Early Bird, Regular, and Race Day rates. Early Bird pricing runs through August 31, Regular pricing covers September 1 through October 23, and Race Day pricing applies on October 24. A registration deadline of September 30 is listed for receiving the event T-shirt with registration. Because this is a fundraising event for the Deaf Action Center, registrations are nonrefundable.
Race packets are available for pick-up at the Deaf Action Center on the two days before the event and on race day at the site. Packet pick-up dates and hours are provided by the organizer.
Awards and recognition include overall male and female winners who each receive $100 cash and a medal for the 5K. All participants receive a participation medal, and Fun Run participants receive a participation patch. Age-group categories are 0-12, 13-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
Course rules note that strollers, wagons, baby joggers, and hand-pushed or pulled vehicles are permitted only at walking pace. In-line skates and roller skates are prohibited. No dogs are allowed on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
