The Great Pumpkin Run for Bennett 5K
The Great Pumpkin Run for Bennett 5K is a charity 5K run/walk held on October 24, 2026 at Levy Park, 403 East 3rd Street, Crowley, LA 70526. The event offers separate entry categories for youth (ages 0-14) and participants ages 15 and older.
Proceeds will benefit a child diagnosed with Infantile Neuroaxonal Dystrophy (INAD) and the INADCure Foundation. Funds will be used in part to help the family purchase medical equipment and make home modifications, and a large portion will support the foundation's work toward developing gene therapy research for INAD.
The event program includes food, activities for children, a bake sale, auction and raffle items, and music. Packet pickup will take place at Levy Park on the morning of the race. Same-day registration will be available but a race shirt is not guaranteed for same-day registrants.
Registration and fees follow a tiered schedule: through September 23 youth registration is $25 and adult registration is $35, both including a race shirt; from September 24 through race day youth registration is $30 and adult registration is $40. Registration opened on June 1, 2026.
Age-group awards are offered (for example 1-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, up to 70+). Awards include top overall male and female and first through third place male and female in each age group. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
