Event
The Great Pumpkin Run for Bennett is a community 5K held in Crowley, Louisiana at Levy Park (403 East 3rd Street). The run benefits a child with Infantile Neuroaxonal Dystrophy (INAD) and the INADCure Foundation. A portion of funds will assist the family with medical equipment and home modifications, and a large portion will support the INADCure Foundation's work toward gene therapy research for INAD. The event program includes food, activities for children, a bake sale, auction and raffle items, and music.
Logistics and fees
There are two event divisions for the 5K: youth (open to ages 1 to 14) and adult (open to ages 15 to 100). Registration fees listed on the organizer page are:
- Youth 0-14: $25 through September 23 (includes race shirt); $30 from September 24 until race day.
- Adult 15 and up: $35 through September 23 (includes race shirt); $40 from September 24 until race day.
Packet pickup is available at Levy Park on race morning. Same-day registration is offered but a race shirt is not guaranteed. Awards are given to the top overall male and female and to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female finishers in each age group. Sponsors are listed at multiple support levels.
