17th Annual Hope for the Miracle
The 17th Annual Hope for the Miracle is a 5K breast cancer race and walk held in Jennings, Louisiana. The event takes place at the JD Courthouse parking lot, 300 State St., Downtown Jennings. It includes a closing ceremony for breast cancer survivors and encourages participants to wear pink; costumes are welcome.
Registration opens July 8, 2026 and closes October 2, 2026. Early registration runs through October 1 for a fee of $30.00; late registration on race day is $35.00. Participants who cannot attend are asked to contact the organizers to receive their event shirt.
There are two participation categories: 5K runners who are timed and 5K walkers who are not timed. Timed runners compete for awards for 1st and 2nd place male and female in each age group. Age groups are: 10 and under, 11-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, and 61 and over.
The event states its mission as assisting people diagnosed with and battling breast cancer in Jeff Davis Parish. There are no refunds if the event is cancelled due to inclement weather. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
