The 15th annual Cpl Matthew Richard Memorial 5K Run/Walk takes place in downtown Iota, Louisiana. The event benefits the Cpl Matthew Richard Memorial Foundation.
Event Details
The event includes two activities: a standard 5K run/walk and an Ainsley's Angels event. All participants receive a t-shirt. Those who register by April 8, 2026 are guaranteed a shirt on race day; late registrants receive theirs later.
Post-race refreshments include water and fruit provided at the finish line. Hamburgers and soft drinks are available for purchase starting later in the morning.
Registration and Fees
Pre-registration costs $30 through April 8, 2026. Late and race-day registration costs $35 from April 9 onwards. Both events are open to a wide age range, from 1 to 100 years old.
Awards and Activities
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as to the top three in each age category. Age groups range from 9 and under to 70 and over.
