Augusta Marathon - Full / Half / 10K / 5K Running Festival
The Maine Endurance Sports Alliance (MESA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, presents a running festival in Augusta, Maine, at Elk Lodge, 397 Civic Center Dr. The event features multiple race distances offered on the same day:
- Marathon 26.2 miles
- Half marathon 13.1 miles
- 10K
- 5K
The full marathon course departs from 397 Civic Center Dr, follows Route 11/27 to Belgrade Lakes and returns to the start. The event is USATF sanctioned and the marathon is Boston certified (Marathon ME25002JK). Pine Tree Racing Services is the official race timer. There is no time limit for the marathon.
Support and logistics include a vendor area at the finish line, nearby parking, and information about local lodging and dining. Participants may leave bottles at the operations tent at the starting line for placement at water stations. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at Maine Night Treasure's event at 59 Bangor Street in Augusta, which includes vendors, food trucks, and music, and bib pickup is available on race day at the starting area.
Several special multi race medals are offered for completing combinations of the organizer's races in 2026, including medals linked to completing both the Augusta and Waterville races and a Vacationland Triple Crown for completing three of four designated events.
