Event details

The One in Five 5K is scheduled as an in-person race on April 26, 2026 at FirstPark in Oakland, Maine. A virtual option runs from April 1 to May 10, 2026. Registration opens December 1, 2025. Entry fees are listed as $25 for general registration and $15 for ages 0–17. The event is open to participants ages 120 and under. Friendly, leashed dogs and strollers are allowed on the course. A course map is available through the event materials.

Purpose and support

This is the 15th annual One in Five 5K, hosted by the Sexual Assault Crisis & Support Center. The event takes place in April to mark Sexual Assault Awareness Month. One hundred percent of event proceeds benefit the Sexual Assault Crisis & Support Center and its services for survivors. The center provides a 24-hour staffed support line, support groups, justice system advocacy, school-based prevention education, and a Children’s Advocacy Center for members of Kennebec and Somerset counties.
