The Frosty 5K - Sarasota
The Frosty 5K is scheduled for Saturday, December 19, 2026, with start and finish at Twin Lakes Park, 6700 Clark Road, Sarasota. The course runs through the adjacent neighborhood on paved roads only, with no grass or paths, described as a wide open, well supported road course on asphalt surfaces.
The event offers two options: an in person Frosty 5K and a Virtual Frosty 5K. Registration opens July 25, 2026. Initial registration fees listed in the event information are $30 for the in person Frosty 5K and $45 for the Virtual Frosty 5K; the event notes higher fees later in the season.
Perks and event features include a custom Frosty 5K finisher medal for all finishers, a long sleeve race shirt available in gender specific and youth sizes, and award categories. Shirt size is guaranteed for registrations completed by December 1, 2026. Awards use gun time for overall male and female and youth overall (14 and under), Masters through Veteran Grandmasters categories, and chip time for age groups. Prizes are offered for the most creative Frosty costumes. A post race celebration includes food and beverages.
The Virtual Frosty 5K can be completed and results submitted online between December 9 and December 31, and virtual race packets will be mailed the week after the live event.
