The Fox & The Turkey
The Fox and The Turkey is an annual running event organized by Fox River Trail Runners in downtown Batavia on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026, marking its 30th year. The event includes a youth mile and a separate four mile run, with both races starting and finishing in downtown Batavia.

Fox River Trail Runners designates the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry as the race charity partner. The club will donate five dollars for each four mile registration to the pantry, and registrants may make additional donations. At the 2025 event the race raised twelve thousand five hundred dollars for the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry.
The four mile course includes a cutoff policy: participants who do not reach approximately the 1.5 mile point by the event cutoff will be diverted and will complete an approximately three mile course, and those diverted will not be eligible for age group awards.
