The Forge Challenge
The Forge Challenge is an obstacle course event in Owensboro, Kentucky, held on 11 July 2026 at 501 W 2nd Street near the Ohio River and downtown Owensboro. The course distance is 5600 m and includes eleven obstacle stations, with a run after each station.
The course begins with a run along the banks of the Ohio River and downtown Owensboro. Obstacles listed for the event are Ski Erg, Sled Push, Sled Pull, Burpee Broad Jump, Row Machine, Farmers Carry, Jump Rope, Overhead Carry, Walking Lunges, Wall Ball Toss, and Echo Bike.
Event divisions include men's and women's pro singles, men's and women's open singles, doubles across divisions, and a full distance singles category. Weights and obstacle loads vary by division; the pro division uses heavier weights, the open and team divisions follow the original Forge format, and the full distance is comparable to traditional hybrid fitness events.
Awards are presented to overall male and female singles in each division and to overall teams for double and coed entries.
