The Forge Challenge
The Forge Challenge is an obstacle-course event on 07/18/2026 at 1215 Hickman Ave, Owensboro, KY. The published course distance is 5600 meters. The layout pairs ten obstacle stations with running segments and concludes with a 100 meter overhead carry to the finish.
The sequence begins with a 500 meter run. Obstacles include a 500 meter ski erg, a 100 foot sled push, a 100 foot sled pull, a 100 foot burpee broad jump, a 500 meter row, a 300 foot farmers carry, a sequence of tire flips and sledge hammer hits (50 foot flip, 15 hammer hits, 50 foot flip), 200 foot walking lunges, 50 wall ball tosses, and 45 calories on an echo bike. Each obstacle is followed by a 500 meter run before the next station, and the course ends with a 100 meter overhead carry.
Event formats are singles and doubles in separate waves. Waves are organized with up to five singles or up to five teams per wave and run every ten minutes. In the partner division each person completes half of each obstacle and teams work together to complete the course.
Entry fees are tiered: singles early bird $85, regular $95, late $105; doubles early bird $150, regular $185, late $200. Awards include overall male and female singles and the top two doubles teams. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
