RYR Endurance Race Weekend : Owensboro, KY
The RYR Endurance Race Weekend takes place November 14–15, 2026 at Horse Fork Creek Park in Owensboro, Kentucky. The weekend program includes multiple race distances conducted on a multi-loop out-and-back course along an asphalt greenway. The marathon and half marathon courses are USATF certified. The event donates all proceeds to the Wendell Foster Center.
Course and format details: the route runs beside a creek, past two lakes, and is tree-lined. The course is mostly level with minimal elevation change. Each race uses repeated loops; the 5K and 10K include an added section in Yewell-Heritage Park. Start and finish are adjacent to parking and park facilities.
Aid and fueling: aid stations are available approximately every mile. Two stations offer water and sports drink; a third provides water and gels. GU gels (vanilla and salted caramel) and Tailwind Endurance Fuel are available for the half marathon, marathon, and 50K. Tables near the start allow athletes to stage personal hydration and nutrition that they will pass on every lap.
Spectator and logistics: the course is spectator friendly with multiple viewing points near the start/finish, at Hayward Court, and at East Byers Avenue. Horse Fork Creek Park offers over 400 parking spaces. The start/finish area is next to parking so no formal gear check is required.
