Location and dates
The Flying Scotsman takes place on 12th and 13th September 2026 at the Premier Inn, Lakeside Grove, Bletcham Way, Caldecotte, Milton Keynes, MK7 8HP. The course runs around Caldecotte Lake and is described as a lakeside lap course. Registration materials and the route description are given at the event location.
Races and practical information
Events on both days include:
- Marathon - 7½ laps of Caldecotte Lake
- Half Marathon - 3½ laps of Caldecotte Lake
There is a hard time limit of 7:00 hours for each marathon; anyone finishing after that will be recorded as a DNF. The half marathon has a 4:00 hour limit. All finishers receive a bespoke medal. Race support includes a starter, timekeeper, race referee, a large pub car park, and water and toilets available every lap of the lake course. The event is held in accordance with 100 Marathon Club rules. Entry fees are listed as £39.99 per marathon and £32.99 per half marathon. There are no refunds; entries may be deferred up to seven days before the event to another Enigma event that is open, and deferred entries must be used within 18 months.
