Cowman Triathlon at Emberton Country Park
The Cowman Triathlon Series takes place at Emberton Country Park, near Olney in Milton Keynes. The event offers multiple race formats held on open water and public roads with marked courses for swimming, cycling and running.
Distances and main formats:
- Cowman (Middle): 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike, 21.1 km run
- Calfman (Standard): 1.5 km swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run
- Stampede (Sprint): 750 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run Additional options include Aquabike, Aquathlon and Bike-Run variants using the same legs.
Included event services and facilities include a finisher’s medal, chip timing, live online results, fully marked routes, official event photography, optional finisher’s t-shirt, category prizes, finish-line items and marshal support. Parking is available inside Emberton Country Park; athletes receive free park entry, while other visitors may need to pay. Overnight camping is listed as available at the venue.
Participation requires affiliation with British Triathlon via an annual membership or the purchase of a single-use race pass; non-affiliated relay teammates must each have a race pass. Age minimums apply: Cowman 18+, Calfman 17+, Stampede 15+ with parental consent for 15 year olds. The event also recruits volunteers; volunteers are offered a discount on future BCS events.
