Multisport Event in Milton Keynes
The Cowman Triathlon takes place at Emberton Country Park and offers a variety of multisport options. The event features open-water swimming, cycling on public roads, and running through parkland grounds. Competitors can choose from several distance tiers and disciplines, including traditional Triathlons, Aquabikes, Aquathlons, and Bike-Run formats.
The available distances and categories include:
- Cowman Middle Distance: 1.9 km swim, 92 km cycle, and 21.1 km run.
- Calfman Standard Distance: 1.5 km swim, 40 km cycle, and 10 km run.
- Stampede Sprint Distance: 750 m swim, 20 km cycle, and 5 km run.
- Aquabike: Available for Middle (1.9 km/92 km), Standard (1.5 km/40 km), and Sprint (750 m/20 km) tiers.
- Bike-Run: Available for Middle (92 km/21.1 km), Standard (40 km/10 km), and Sprint (20 km/5 km) tiers.
- Stampede Aquathlon: 750 m swim and 5 km run.
The swim portion is a lake swim with mass starts for most categories. The cycling leg is held on a lapped course on open roads. The run course consists of laps on a mix of tarmac, gravel, and grass surfaces within the country park. Facilities at the venue include ample parking, and overnight camping is available on-site. Participants receive a finisher medal, chip timing with live results, and access to aid stations. Official event photography is also provided.
