The FIG : 361° Adventures
The FIG is an adventure race held in the Red River Gorge Area near Slade, Kentucky on Saturday, November 7, 2026. Organizers present the event as the race's 24th running and describe it as Kentucky’s longest-running adventure race.
The event offers two time cutoffs: 12 hour and 24 hour. Disciplines include navigating, biking, trekking, and ropes. Packrafting is included only in the 24 hour option; the 12 hour option does not include paddling. The course uses a checkpoint format with no set route, so participants choose their own route between checkpoints and travel by foot, bike, and for the 24 hour option, by boat.
Participants may enter as solos or as teams. The race is USARA sanctioned. Registration includes FIG-branded swag, waterproof maps with an option to add extra mapsets, a marked course with checkpoints, and a post-race meal. Organizers note that packraft rentals will be available and that participants may bring their own packrafts, which must have one seat per person.
Final pricing and some event details are to be announced when registration opens. Organizers plan pre-race gear staging and a prerace meeting before the event and will provide additional racer communications as plans develop. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
