About The FAB 5K
The FAB 5K is a community event held at Confederation Park in Hamilton. The race takes place along the Hamilton Beach Strip, offering a mostly flat course featuring views of Lake Ontario. This event serves as a primary fundraiser for the Fit Active Beautiful Foundation, which provides empowerment programs for local youth.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5 km run or walk
- 1 km fun run
The 5 km route begins and ends at the Edgewater Pavilion. The course follows a path toward the lake, reaching a turnaround point just before the wooden bridge. Runners then head back along the beach past the pavilion to a second turnaround point located past Barangas, before returning to the finish. Strollers are permitted on the course.
Entry to Confederation Park is free for attendees. A large parking lot is available near the Edgewater Pavilion, and parking is provided at no cost. Same day registration is available on the morning of the event, with both cash and credit card payments accepted. Various fundraising opportunities are integrated into the event to support the Fit Active Beautiful Challenge program. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
