HBIA 21st Annual 5K By the Bay
The event takes place on June 20, 2026 at Pier 4 Park, Leander Drive, Hamilton ON. It is presented by the Hamilton Brain Injury Association in honour of Brain Injury Awareness Month.
The program includes several activities for different participants:
- Survivor Walk (1 km) for survivors, family members and community partners
- Blake Heys Memorial Kids 1K for kindergarten to Grade 6 with prizes by grade
- 5K Classic Race certified by Athletics Canada with prizes by age category
Registration fees depend on the selected activity. Survivors may walk for free. Fee amounts listed include CA$34.62 for the Kids 1K and CA$56.20 for the 5K Classic. A customized 5K By the Bay race t-shirt is available for an additional fee.
Fundraising information shows CA$2,451.22 raised to date for the Hamilton Brain Injury Association. The event is supported by several sponsors, including Mackesy Smye, Bridgepoint Financial, Virk Personal Injury Law and Bartimaeus Rehabilitation Services.
