HBIA 21st Annual 5K By the Bay

The event takes place on June 20, 2026, at Pier 4 Park, Leander Drive, Hamilton, Ontario. It is the 21st edition and is held in honour of Brain Injury Awareness Month.

The program includes several distinct activities:

• Survivor Walk - a dedicated walk for survivors, family members, friends and community partners. Survivors may participate for free; family and friends can register and receive a customized event t-shirt for a stated fee.
• Blake Heys Memorial Kids 1K Fun Run - for elementary students from kindergarten to Grade 6, with prizes for winners in each grade category and a special prize for the top pledge collector.
• 5K Classic Race - a 5 km race certified by Athletics Canada, with prizes awarded to winners in each age category.

The event also functions as a fundraising activity for the Hamilton Brain Injury Association; the published fundraiser total is CA$4,980.59, shown as 99% raised.
