The Sunburn Solstice Trail Run 2026
The Sunburn Solstice Trail Run takes place at Marydale Park in Mount Hope, ON, on June 20, 2026. The main event lasts 15 hours and 23 minutes, equal to the summer solstice, and is run on an approximately 3.7 km trail loop repeated through the event period.
The course mixes tree-covered trails and open fields and includes a few short rolling hills. Organizers may adjust the exact route based on trail conditions and weather, since some sections can become soggy after heavy rain.
Two entry formats are offered: an individual Full Solstice entry and a Full Solstice Relay. Relay teams may have up to five runners; each team member must complete the full loop and all exchanges must occur in the designated relay transition area. Teams may not replace a member who leaves early with a new runner. Organizers contact the team captain after registration to collect team details.
There is one aid station on course, stocked with water, an electrolyte drink, sweet and salty snacks, PB and J sandwiches, pickles, and other typical ultrarunning fare. The event is cup-less, so participants must bring a collapsible cup or bottle. Online registration is closed and the event is completely full. Proceeds benefit the C.Y.O. One-to-One camp program for children with disabilities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
