The Sunburn Solstice Trail Run

The Sunburn Solstice Trail Run takes place on June 20, 2026 at Marydale Park in Mount Hope, Ontario.

Race Formats

Participants can choose between two main formats:

  • Full Solstice: An individual race with a fixed duration of 15 hours and 23 minutes.
  • Full Solstice Relay: A team relay event over the same duration. Teams can have up to 5 runners. Each runner must complete a full loop, with transitions occurring in a designated area.

The Course

The race is run on an approximately 3.7 km trail loop. The route, which may be adjusted based on trail conditions, features a mix of tree-covered trails and open fields, with a couple of short rolling hills.

On Course and On Site

One aid station is located on the loop. The event is cup-less, requiring participants to bring their own bottle or collapsible cup. The venue, Marydale Park, offers quality facilities including washrooms and a large pavilion for spectators.

Charity Support

The race benefits the C.Y.O. "One-to-One" camp program, which funds summer camp experiences for children with disabilities at Marydale Park, providing them with one-to-one support.

Additional Information

All participants receive a t-shirt and a finisher's medal. The event is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario. Partner La Sportiva will be on-site with a demo shoe fleet and will give away two pairs of shoes at the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
