The Sunburn Solstice Trail Run 2026 : Marydale Park, Mount Hope
The event uses an approximately 3.7 km trail loop at Marydale Park in Mount Hope, Ontario. The course mixes tree-covered trails and open fields and includes a few short rolling hills. Exact routing may change based on trail conditions and weather.
The main format is a continuous Full Solstice run lasting 15 hours 23 minutes. A relay option is available for teams of up to five runners; each runner must complete the full loop and all exchanges must occur in the designated relay transition area. Teams receive a shirt and a finisher medal; only the top team in each category receives an award.
There is a single aid station on course that runners pass every few kilometers. It supplies water, an electrolyte drink, sweet and salty snacks, PB and J sandwiches, pickles and similar ultra-running fare. The event is cup-less, so runners need a collapsible cup or bottle for fills.
The race is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario and benefits the C.Y.O. One-to-One camp program, which raises funds to send children with disabilities to camp with one-to-one support. Registration for this edition is listed as full. The refund policy offers a 100% race credit up to 30 days before the event; cancellations within 30 days are not accommodated, but bib transfers are allowed.
