The Sunburn Solstice Trail Run 2026
The event takes place on June 20, 2026 at Marydale Park, Mount Hope, ON, Canada. The event is listed as completely full.
Racing uses an approximately 3.7 km trail loop with a mix of tree-covered trails and open field and a few short rolling hills. The exact course may be adjusted before race day depending on weather and trail conditions.
The main format is a timed event lasting 15 hours 23 minutes. There is also a Full Solstice Relay of the same duration for teams of up to five runners. In relay teams each member must run the full loop and all exchanges must occur in the designated relay transition area. Teams are entered by a team captain and members cannot be replaced by new runners during the event. Only the top team in each category All Men, All Women, and Mixed receives an award. Team members receive a shirt and a finisher medal.
There is one aid station on course that participants pass every few kilometres. It will supply water, an electrolyte drink, sweet and salty snacks, PB and J sandwiches, pickles and similar items. The event is cup-less so runners must bring a collapsible cup or bottle. The race is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario.
The event benefits the C.Y.O. One-to-One camp program. The listing shows 103 participants and CA$435.62 raised toward a CA$1,500 goal. Site amenities include close parking, washrooms, and a large pavilion for spectators. The refund policy offers a 100% race credit up to 30 days before the race; cancellations within 30 days are not accommodated, but bib transfers are allowed.
