About the Event
The Bronte Harbour Classic 5K is an annual community running event held on Father's Day in Oakville. The course takes place at Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park, featuring a flat and fast route along the shores of Lake Ontario.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5 km: a chip-timed race suitable for runners of all levels.
- 1 km: a fun run specifically designed for children.
The event hub is located at the outdoor amphitheater by the lake. Beyond the races, the day includes a variety of community activities such as live musical performances, a Vendor Expo highlighting local businesses, and a jumping castle for children. Food and hydration stations are available on-site for participants and attendees.
The race is supported by volunteers from the Oakville Dads community and serves as a fundraiser for the Oakville Dads Community Fund. Proceeds from the event are directed toward local charity initiatives that benefit families in the Oakville area.
