Escape Belle Isle 5K Run and Ruck
The Escape Belle Isle 5K Run and Ruck takes place in downtown Richmond, Virginia, with the course featuring views of the river and traversing through Belle Isle. This event is held during Military Appreciation Month and supports Semper Fi & America’s Fund, a nonprofit organization providing assistance to wounded and injured service members and their families.
The event offers the following participation options:
- 3.1 Miles Run
- 3.1 Miles Ruck
- 3.1 Miles Virtual Run or Ruck
On-site participants receive a bag and a bib equipped with a timing chip. Professional photos are provided for participants at no additional cost. Following the completion of the course, participants have access to a refreshment area at the finish line.
Finishers of the in-person race are awarded a challenge coin and a patch. An award ceremony is held at the Virginia War Memorial to recognize the top three male and female finishers in the run and ruck categories. For those unable to attend the event in person, virtual options are available throughout the month of May, allowing for completion at any location.
