About the race
The Friend or Foe 5k is a themed 5 kilometer road race held at Osborne Park & Boat Landing in Henrico, Virginia. The event is part of larger scoring series: points count toward the Year‑Long 5k & Back of the Pack Series and toward the Spring Series.
Participants may choose allegiance to Team Red (Benedict Arnold) or Team Blue (Marquis de Lafayette). A mobile museum experience, VA250 Out of Many, One, will be onsite to present material about Virginia’s historical role.
Runners registered before April 14 are guaranteed a technical Drifit event shirt. All finishers receive a medal and the race uses chip timing. A virtual race option is available for those who cannot attend in person. A water station is placed at approximately mile 1.55 of the course. Restrooms are available onsite.
Awards are presented for the top three men and women overall and for first and second place male and female in these age groups: 19 & under, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70 plus. Top three overall finishers are not eligible to also win an age group prize. Live interim results are posted on Athlinks and final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race.
Packet pickup is available at the event and race day registration is allowed with a $5 price increase on race morning. Parking is near Osborne Park & Boat Landing at 9530 Osborne Turnpike with map coordinates 37.402264, -77.385450.
