The Dryer Triathlon : event overview
The Dryer Triathlon takes place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Katy, Texas. The primary venue is the Katy Beer Garden with transitions at the Katy Natatorium, 6331 Hwy. Blvd., Katy, TX 77493. The event is limited to 550 athletes and includes triathlon, duathlon, aqua bike and relay divisions. Parking is at the Katy High School Natatorium and a shuttle will transport athletes to transition once it opens.
- Sprint Triathlon: 300 m swim / 12.9 mi bike / 3.10 mi run
- Sprint Duathlon: 0.50 mi run / 12.9 mi bike / 3.0 mi run
- Sprint Aquabike: 300 m swim / 12.9 mi bike
- Relays: sprint distances for all-male, all-female, and mixed teams
Competition, timing and awards
The event is chip timed; chips are issued at packet pick up on a black foam strip and must be returned after the race. The race is USA Triathlon sanctioned and requires a USAT membership; listed fees are $10 annual for 17 and under, $15 one-day for 18 and older, and $50 annual for 18 and older. Awards include overall top male and female, top masters male and female, top 3 in each age group and relay category, plus Clydesdale (220 lbs and over) and Athena (165 lbs and over) divisions by age bracket. All athletes receive a finisher medal; event shirts are provided if registration meets the organizer’s ordering deadline.
