Format and rules

At registration participants hand over electronic devices and receive a race number and an emergency bag. Participants board a bus, wear a blackout blindfold or an approved alternative, and are driven to an undisclosed drop-off location. From there they must navigate back to the event centre without maps, GPS, compasses, route instructions, or outside help. The following rules apply: no GPS (recording devices must remain sealed in the emergency bag), no unauthorised maps, no shortcuts, and breaking the emergency bag seal results in disqualification.

Entries, tracking and local information

Entries are open to people aged 18 and over on 22/03/2026. Standard entry prices are £45 for the 10-mile option and £55 for the 15-mile option. Live GPS tracking is available as an optional, separate feature; trackers are stated to be accurate within 5 metres but can be affected by buildings or black spots. All trackers must be returned after the event or a £175 replacement fee applies. Parking is available in the town centre; the nearest railway station is a 10 minute walk and the bus station is about 5 minutes from the event HQ. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
