About the race
The Trinity Leeds Santa Dash takes place on Sunday 06 December 2026 with a new city centre route starting at Trinity Leeds Shopping Centre. The event runs over a 5K course through the streets of Leeds and typically attracts thousands of participants dressed as Santa.
Participants may run, jog, walk or wheel the route; prams are welcome. Entries include a Santa suit for participants aged three and over, an exclusive finisher medal and a festive chocolate treat. Race numbers and Santa suits must be collected before the event by presenting the event QR code and confirmation email at collection points.
Safety and event operations information includes a first aid unit and recovery area near the start and finish, medical personnel on site, and a request that discarded clothing at the start be left for collection and donation. There is no baggage store so participants are advised to leave bags with family or friends. The organiser asks that entrants do not allow anyone else to run wearing their race number as this may cause medical and organisational issues and will result in disqualification.
Bone conducting headphones are permitted if volume is kept low so participants can hear marshals and emergency vehicles.
