About the race
The DeWayne Key Memorial Run is a community running event held at Moulton Park & Recreation in Moulton, Alabama, offering a 5K run/walk and a 1 mile fun run for children. The event takes place in May at 13550 Court St, Moulton, AL 35650.
Event offerings:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk for ages 0 to 10 years
Each participant receives a tee shirt. Awards are given across age groups and overall placings. For the 5K, the top three finishers in each age group receive medals, and the overall winner receives a trophy. Additional trophies are awarded to Masters, Grand Masters, and Senior Masters winners. Age groups listed for 5K results include 0-9, 10-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70+.
For the 1 mile event, children ages 0-6 receive a participant medal and the overall winner receives a trophy; ages 7-10 award medals to the top three and a trophy to the overall winner.
