The course is a USATF-certified 1.00 mile loop run as multiple laps. Aid is available on each lap. The loop is partially tree-lined, completely unpaved, and has less than 15 feet of elevation change per lap. Average local temperatures are listed as about 60F high and 40F low, and the weather can be variable.
Organizers note that registration closes on Fri, Mar 6 at 11:59 PM CT and that no refunds will be issued after 1/31/2026; refunds are mailed as checks and do not include tax or platform fees. Late registration for the individual 12 Hour and 50 mile divisions may be allowed at packet pickup on Friday night if divisions are not filled; late entrants may not receive a shirt or personalized plaque.
Relay teams may have 2 to 4 members; the team captain registers first and assigns a team name. Awards in the 12 Hour event are based on highest mileage for overall, masters, and grandmasters; relay awards are based on team mileage.
