About the race
Delano Park in Decatur, Alabama, is scheduled for March 6, 2027. The event offers multiple race formats at 983 Gordon Dr SE, including solo and relay options on a lap course.

The course is a USATF certified 1.00 mile loop run in repeated laps. The path is completely unpaved, partially tree lined, and flat with less than 15 feet of elevation change per lap. Aid is available on each lap. There is room in the park along the course to set up a base camp the day before or on race morning. Permanent restrooms are available and additional port-a-potties will be placed near the trail.
Weather in early March is variable; average highs are near 60F and average lows near 40F, with a range that has included rain and snow in past years. Packet pickup and a pre-race dinner take place the evening before at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 801 Jackson St SE, Decatur. Late registration may be accepted at packet pickup if individual divisions are not full. Race day packets are available at Delano Park as self-serve bags.
No refunds of registration fees will be given after January 31, 2027. Approved refunds are mailed as a check and include only the registration fee; tax and platform fees are not refunded. Registered names and relay team names are submitted to the awards maker on February 22; register by that date to help ensure a personalized plaque. Relay teams may include two to four persons; the team captain registers and pays for the whole team. Awards in the 12 Hour event are based on highest mileage for overall, masters, and grandmasters and relay awards are based on mileage. The 50 Mile awards are based on finish time for the first male and female individuals. Final rankings are determined by the time the final lap is completed and partial laps do not count.
