Event overview
Delano Park ultrarun takes place in Decatur, Alabama at 983 Gordon Dr SE. The 2026 edition marks the event's 20th consecutive year. Distances offered include:
- 50 Mile Solo
- 12 Hour Solo
- 12 Hour Relay
Registration closes Mar 6. Late registrations for individual 12 Hour and 50 Mile divisions may be accepted at packet pickup if those divisions are not full; late registrants may not receive a shirt or a personalized plaque.
Course and facilities
The race uses multiple laps of a USATF-certified 1.00 mile path in Delano Park. The course is unpaved, partially tree-lined, and has less than 15 feet of elevation change per lap. Aid is available on each lap. There is space in the park for participants to set up a base camp before the event. Permanent restrooms are available on site and additional port-a-potties will be placed along the course.
Registration, awards and other notes
Refunds: no registration fee refunds after 1/31/2026; any approved refund will be mailed as a check. Tax and platform fees are not refunded. Relay teams may consist of 2, 3, or 4 persons; the team captain registers first and adds team members afterwards. Registered names are submitted to the awards maker on 2/23; registering by that date guarantees a personalized plaque. In the 12 Hour Run, awards are given by highest mileage for overall, masters, and grandmasters and for relay teams. Partial laps do not count toward final rankings. Each participant receives a personalized plaque, a race T-shirt, and other event schwag. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
