Alice Haughaboo Grit and Grace 5K
The Alice Haughaboo Grit and Grace 5K takes place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, in downtown Decatur, Alabama. The event includes a 5K and a 1-mile Fun Run. Registration fees listed are $30 for the 5K and $20 for the 1-mile event. Registration closes December 12, 2025 at 11:59 pm CST. Proceeds support the Austin High School Cross Country Team and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Logistics and course
Packet pick-up is available at First Baptist Church, 123 Church Street, on Friday, December 12 from 3:30-6:00 pm, and race-day packet pick-up is at The Old State Bank on Saturday from 6:30-7:30 am. The Downtown Decatur course is USATF certified, passes through a historic neighborhood and downtown area, and finishes at The Old State Bank. Participants are asked to pin their race bib visibly; the bib contains the chip timer and is theirs to keep after the race. Organizers note bathrooms near the Old Bank and that water and drinks will be available at the finish. Participants are encouraged to wear Christmas gear or purple in memory of the person the race honors. Parking is recommended near the Old Bank on Church Street.
