Event Overview

The Dam 5 Miler is a five-mile running and walking event taking place on November 21, 2026, starting at the Center Hill Recreation Area in Lancaster, Tennessee. This is the fourth annual edition of the race.

Course Details

The route begins at the recreation area, which provides a view of Center Hill Dam. Runners cross the dam and enter Edgar Evins State Park, where a native pollinator corridor runs alongside the road leading to the park's Visitor Center Office. The course features road inclines in both directions.

Participant Information

The event welcomes both runners and walkers. It is a chip-timed race. Aid stations are available approximately every 1.5 to 2 miles along the route. Participants are allowed to listen to music during the event.

Registration & Logistics

The entry fee is $54, including a $4 processing fee. This price increases after September 30, 2026. All runners receive a race t-shirt, subject to availability for late registrations. Packet pickup is available on Friday, November 20, at 158 Resource Lane, Lancaster, and on race morning at Ike Park.

Awards & Policies

All finishers receive a medal. Additional awards are given for:

  • Overall top three male and female finishers.
  • Top three male and female finishers in each 10-year age group bracket.
  • Masters (40 and up) and Grand Masters (50 and up) male and female categories.
