Historic Watertown Founders Day 5K
Historic Watertown will host an inaugural Founders Day running and walking event on September 26, 2026, in Watertown, Tennessee, at 110 East Main Street. The main course is a 3.1 mile loop that goes through the historic downtown district and past historic homes, offering a route that stays within the city.
Distances and options include:
- 3.1 miles - timed entry with shirt included
- 3.1 miles - untimed entry with shirt included
- 1 mile family walk - untimed with shirt included
- Just for fun - no timing and no shirt
Some registration options include a commemorative inaugural event shirt designed by a local artist; one option is offered without a shirt or timing. Participants may choose whether to be timed on the 5K option.
Proceeds from the event will support the Historic Watertown organization’s mission to preserve historic heritage and to support community and economic growth. A portion of the fee for first responder participants will be donated to the Watertown Volunteer Fire Department in appreciation for their role in providing a fish fry at the Founders Day Festival.
