Event Overview
The Run 4 Don is an annual athletic event held in Gainesboro, Tennessee. This event takes place at 330 Birch Street and features two primary road races that navigate through the downtown area. The course is designed to transition from the town center to the banks of the Cumberland River.
Participants can choose from the following course options:
- 5k road race (3.1 miles)
- 15k road race (9.3 miles)
The routes are officially certified and are characterized by minimal elevation gain. This flat profile is utilized by runners aiming for specific time goals or personal records. In addition to the competitive races, there is an option for supporters to participate as patrons without entering the race itself.
The event serves as a commemorative gathering to honor a community member. Proceeds from the registration fees are directed toward two specific causes: providing financial support for students pursuing a Christian education and funding research efforts for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
