Event Overview
The Crieff 10k is a trail race organized by Strathearn Harriers in Perthshire, Scotland. The event is held under a Scottish Athletics permit and incorporates the Scottish Athletics National Trail Championships for U20s and Seniors. The course follows a scenic route with a total ascent of 220 meters.
Distances
The race day features multiple distances for different age groups:
- 10 km trail race for participants born in 2008 or earlier.
- 5 km course hosting the National U14, U16, and U18 Trail Championships.
- 1 mile junior race.
Course and Facilities
The 10 km route begins at the Morrison's Academy sports ground at Dallerie. The course travels over Laggan Hill, passes the Baird Monument, and follows the banks of the River Earn via Lady Mary's Walk. A course update for 2026 includes a new trail section from Turret Burn.
Participants have access to facilities at Dallerie, which include changing areas and showers. Gender neutral toilets are available on-site. After the race, a buffet featuring home baking is provided for runners.
Registration and Participation
Registration is managed online, and there is no option for entry on the day of the event. The race has an initial capacity of 300 runners. All participants receive chip timing, a snack, water, and a memento upon crossing the finish line. Ten percent of the proceeds from the event are donated to charity. Prizes are awarded across various categories, including Men, Women, Local, and Veteran divisions, along with Scottish Athletics medals for eligible championship participants.
