About the race
The Alva Games is a challenging hill race held near Stirling, Scotland, on the A91 at Alva. The course covers 1.60 miles (2.5 km) with a steep ascent gaining 1200 feet (365 meters) in elevation. Runners face natural obstacles including thorny gorse and a muddy gully as the hill steepens toward the summit.
The event features categories for under 12, under 14, under 17, and senior runners, though there is no under 9 category. It is part of the British Open Fell Runners Association (BOFRA) Championship series, attracting competitive fell runners to this scenic and demanding race.
