Perth Running Festival - Perth Racecourse
Perth Running Festival is staged at Perth Racecourse, beside the River Tay and near Scone Palace. The route passes the North Inch and runs along riverbank paths with views of Scone Palace and the city of Perth.
Distances offered:
- Half Marathon
- 7.5 km
- 1 Mile (8 furlong) Fun Run
The Half Marathon is a scenic river route that starts and finishes in front of the grandstand at Perth Racecourse and is certified as accurate by Scottish Athletics. The 7.5 km is a traffic-free out-and-back on paved paths; its course follows the perimeter of the racecourse along New Kingsway, crosses the New Destiny Bridge over the River Tay, loops under the bridge, and returns to the grandstand finish. The 1 Mile 8 Furlong Fun Run is aimed at children, families, and first-time runners and finishes at the same venue.
Event features include a finishers' medal, an event village with live commentary and facilities including toilets and refreshments, three scenic bridge crossings, on-course water stations and safety marshals, and a technical head buff. Pre-race information and a race briefing are emailed in the week before the event, and an Athlete Guide is made available for download.
