Perth Running Festival
Perth Running Festival is a road running event based at Perth Racecourse in Perth, Scotland. It offers the following distances:
- Half Marathon
- 7.5 km
- 1 Mile (8 Furlong) Fun Run
Routes run along the banks of the River Tay and pass views of Scone Palace, the North Inch green space, and the City of Perth. The half marathon route starts and finishes in front of the grandstand at Perth Racecourse and is described as flat and fast.
The 7.5 km course is a traffic-free out-and-back on paved paths. The route follows the boundary of Perth Racecourse along New Kingsway, crosses the New Destiny Bridge over the River Tay, loops under the bridge, and returns to the racecourse grandstand.
The 1 Mile 8 Furlong Fun Run is intended for children, families, and first-time runners and finishes at the racecourse. Event features include a race village with live commentary, toilets, and refreshments, three scenic bridge crossings, on-course water stations, pacers, and safety marshals. Participants receive a finishers' medal and a technical head buff. Pre-race information and a downloadable Athlete Guide are provided to entrants in the week before the event.
