The Coast Half Marathon & 10K
The event is an out and back road race set along the County Down coast, with start and finish in Killough village green. The course leaves the village Main Street and follows a country road toward Rossglass. At Rossglass the 10K runners turn back and retrace the route to the finish.
Half marathon runners continue along the coastline toward St John’s Point Lighthouse, passing the ruins of an ancient church dated to 1170. The lighthouse, standing since 1844, marks the turning point before runners return toward Rossglass and follow the main road that runs beside Minerstown Beach toward Tyrella, turning before the beach and returning to Killough.
