Turkey Trot

The Turkey Trot takes place in County Down on Saturday 26 December 2026. The course distance is 7.50 km with a listed climb of 400 m. The event is organised by NIMRA.

The event difficulty is recorded as category 3 with easy terrain. Only major junctions on the course are marked. Use of GPS devices is not allowed.

Participants are required to carry Level B - Standard mandatory kit. This includes a waterproof jacket, a hat or buff, gloves, a whistle, a charged mobile phone with the emergency number stored, and a foil blanket or bivvy bag or equivalent.
