About the race
Tollymore Forest Park hosts a winter running event offering 5K and 10K distances on mixed tarmac and forest paths. The route follows the forest path alongside the Shimna River, passes the Hermitage and provides panoramic views of the Mourne Mountains. The forest includes locations where scenes from Game of Thrones were filmed.

Entry is online only with posted race packs. Fees shown include standard and early bird rates and distinct junior rates for specified age groups. Race entry includes a Run Forest Run medal, individual chip timing, a race number and complimentary post race refreshments. Race packs will be posted to participants and a postal fee option is selected at registration.
There will be no on course water station due to winter conditions so participants should carry water if required. Free parking for runners is allocated in the upper car park and additional Forestry Service charges and off site overflow parking will apply. Toilet facilities are available in the main car park toilet block and the stone educational building adjacent to the upper car park.
The course surface combines tarmac and uneven forest paths; running or trail shoes are appropriate. For health and safety reasons the course is not suitable for buggies.
