Run Forest Run - Tollymore
This event is the third race in the Run Forest Run series held at Tollymore Forest Park, Bryansford Road, Newcastle, Co. Down. The route follows forest paths alongside the Shimna River and passes the Hermitage, with views toward the Mourne Mountains; parts of the forest were used as a filming location for Game of Thrones.

Entry is by online registration only; on-the-day entry is possible only if the event has not sold out and carries an additional fee. Race packs and bibs are posted to participants and should arrive in early December 2026. Postal options for Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland are required at registration.
Entry fees and offers are stated for adults and juniors, with an early bird rate available for registrations before 7 October 2026. Registration processing fees apply in addition to published entry prices.
Facilities and race services include individual chip timing, a Run Forest Run medal, a race number, and post-race refreshments. There will be no water stations on course for this winter race; participants should carry water if required. Toilet facilities are available in the main car park and in the nearby stone building. The course surface is a mix of tarmac and forest paths with uneven sections; trail or running shoes are recommended. Buggies and pets are not permitted. Parking in the upper car park is subject to a Forestry Service charge per car, with overflow parking arranged if required.
Prizegiving will award 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers; series category prizes depend on completing multiple races in the series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
