Event details
The City of Coconut Creek 5K Butterfly Run is scheduled for Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Tradewinds Park, Grandiosa Pavilion, 3600 W Sample Rd, Coconut Creek, FL. The event is a 5 kilometer run with two entry categories: Adult (18 and over) and Youth (17 and under). The race is open to all ages. Awards will be given to the top three male and top three female overall finishers, plus the first male and female Coconut Creek resident. Participants are timed from crossing the start line to the finish line. No pets are allowed on the course. Butterfly attire is encouraged.
Registration and logistics
Registration opens on October 16 and registration for the listed events closes January 31, 2026 at 12:00 pm EST. The event page lists available spots for each category. The first 700 registrants will receive a Sport Tek long sleeve race shirt and the first 700 finishers will receive a finisher medal. There will be no race day registration. Race packets can be collected at Coconut Creek Recreation Complex, Creek Fit North, 4455 Sol Press Boulevard on Friday, January 30 (12:00 pm to 7:00 pm) and Saturday, January 31 (8:00 am to 3:00 pm), or at Tradewinds Park on race day from 5:30 am to 6:30 am. Walkers and strollers are permitted toward the end of the race pack. No one will be allowed to enter the park after 6:50 am.
