Event details
The North Creek Explorer 5K Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at North Creek Presbyterian Church, 4601 NW 71st Place, Coconut Creek, FL 33073. This is the 17th annual running of the event. The race is held as a community event with live music and food. Two event categories are listed:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 5K Run/Walk - 12 & Under (open to ages 12 and under)
All registered participants receive a swag bag with a dri-fit logo shirt. Race day packet pick-up is available.
Purpose, awards and fundraising
Proceeds benefit the Coconut Creek Police Department Explorer Program. The program supports students ages 14 to 18 by providing experience and training for careers in law enforcement. Funds are intended to cover uniforms, equipment, trips, regional competitions and supplies. The event lists a fundraising goal of $5,000.
An awards ceremony will recognize top overall and age group finishers and top first responders. The race awards include top male and female categories and age group placements; the first 130 finishers receive a medal. Sponsors and local businesses are listed as supporting the event.
