North Creek Explorer 5K Run/Walk
The North Creek Explorer 5K Run/Walk is the 18th annual event held on Saturday, December 5, 2026, in Coconut Creek and organized by North Creek Presbyterian Church. The event is an evening run and walk that features live music and food and offers an opportunity for community members to meet Coconut Creek Police Department officers.
All proceeds benefit the Coconut Creek Police Department Explorer Program. The program provides students ages 14 to 18 with experience and training related to careers in law enforcement. Funds from the event are used for uniforms, equipment, trips, regional competitions and supplies. The fundraising goal for the event is $5,000.
The event is a 5K run and walk. Awards are given to the overall top male and female runners, top male and female age group winners, and top male and female first responders. The first 175 finishers receive a medal. All runners receive a swag bag that includes a dri-fit logo shirt. Race day registration and packet pick up will be available.
Registration fees are $25 starting February 17, $35 starting October 1, $40 starting November 1, and $45 on race day. Youth 12 and under have a $25 registration fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
