Event Overview
The Chopwell Gambit is a 10 km trail running event. It will be held in Chopwell Woods in North-East England. This is the first event organized by TwistedTrails.
The Race Concept
This race has a unique format with a flexible start time. Participants can begin their run at any time after 10:30 am. Everyone must finish by 12:00 noon for their time to count. The last person to start is the winner, making strategic timing a key part of the event.
Event Logistics
The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association. The minimum age for participation is 16 years old. Entry fees are £22.00 for affiliated runners and £24.00 for non-affiliated runners. Entries open on Thursday 5th February 2026 and close on Saturday 9th May 2026.
Participants are asked to arrive by 10:00 am for registration and a race briefing. Parking is available at the venue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
