Run Gateshead Hot Chocolate

Run Gateshead Hot Chocolate is an annual running event held at Derwent Haugh Country Park in Swalwell, Gateshead. Scheduled for December 14, 2025, it features two race distances: a 5K and a 10K, both on mostly flat, paved footpaths and tracks suitable for all abilities. The 5K consists of one loop, while the 10K covers two loops of the park, starting and finishing near the Swalwell Visitor Centre with parking available at Blaydon Rugby Club.

The traffic-free course offers chip timing, distance markers every kilometer, and refreshments post-race.
