Silent Night Fell Race

The Silent Night Fell Race, organized by Durham Fell Runners and supported by the Fell Runners Association, is a challenging winter event held near St John's Chapel, Weardale. Covering 6.6 km with 370 meters of ascent, the race takes place entirely in the dark on rough, pathless terrain up to the 703m summit of Chapelfell Top. Navigation skills are essential as the route is unmarked, and GPS devices for navigation are prohibited.
