Santa Run - North
This event is a festive fun run at Durham Amateur Rowing Club, Green Ln, Old Elvet, Durham DH1 3JU. It offers a family-friendly trail course along the River Wear with views of the Cathedral. The course is fully signed and classified as a trail run, so no navigational experience is required.
Entry allows runners of every age in line with UK Athletics distance limits. Participants who complete at least one lap of the 2.5 km course receive a Christmas-themed finisher medal and can meet Santa, who will give a small gift. Festive dress is encouraged but not compulsory. Music, fancy dress prizes, and refreshments such as mince pies are part of the event atmosphere.

Toilets are available at the rowing club. There is pay and display parking in the city centre and nearby streets; participants must not park in the rowing club car park. Number pick up is on the day at race registration; final race information will be sent by email in the week before the event. A non-secure bag drop will be provided at the start and finish area. Participants should bring their own drinks container; water will be available to refill bottles. Headphones are allowed.
