Event overview
CBTE The Charm Bracelet Marathon is a trail running event taking place on 12 April 2026. The route runs along the north east coast from Redcar to Whitby and measures approximately 26.5 miles. The minimum age to enter is 18. The organiser has limited the field to 300 places and a 10 hour cutoff is in place to allow walkers. Entry fees listed are Affiliated £47.00 and Non-Affiliated £49.00. Course and logistics
The start location is Redcar Beach Base, Majuba Road, Redcar, TS10 5BJ, with the finish in Whitby. The route follows sections of the Cleveland Way and passes coastal villages and cliffs. Runners will encounter mixed surfaces including sand, mud, rocks and tree roots, and will run on beaches and cliff-top paths. The course includes about 3,263 ft of total elevation. The route passes the public sculpture known as the "Circle" between miles 7 and 8. Trophies are offered for 1st male, female and non-binary, and for first male and female in the 50, 60 and 70 age categories.
