Trail Marathon Experience
The CBTE Charm Bracelet Marathon is a point-to-point trail running event covering a distance of 26.5 miles (approximately 26.57 miles). The course follows the coastline of North East England, starting at Redcar Beach Base and finishing in the fishing town of Whitby. Participants travel south from Redcar, passing through coastal villages and traversing a variety of terrain including sand, mud, rocks, and wooded areas.
The route incorporates a significant portion of the Cleveland Way and features a total elevation gain of 3263 ft. Between the seventh and eighth miles, the course passes the "Circle" sculpture, also known as the Charm Bracelet, which serves as the inspiration for the event's name. Runners can expect coastal views from cliff tops and sections positioned directly on the beach.
