CBTE The Charm Bracelet Marathon : 12 April 2026
The event is a trail marathon held on Sunday 12 April 2026. The start location is Redcar Beach Base, Majuba Road, Redcar, TS10 5BJ, and the route finishes in Whitby. The course distance is about 26.5 miles. The minimum age for entry is 18. There are 300 places available. Entry fees listed are Affiliated £47.00 and Non-Affiliated £49.00. Entries open 14 April 2025 and close 21 March 2026.
Course, cutoffs and awards
The route heads south from Redcar along the north east coast and follows sections of the Cleveland Way. Runners pass coastal villages and a public sculpture between miles 7 and 8, run on sand and cliffs, and encounter mixed trail surfaces including mud, sand, rocks and trees. Total elevation for the route is 3,263 ft. The event uses a 10 hour cutoff time to allow walkers. Awards include trophies for first male, first female and first non-binary overall, and first male and female in the 50, 60 and 70 age categories.
