DVRC relays memorial race
This is a club relay event held on Thursday 16 July at Derwenthaugh Country Park near Swalwell Juniors Football Club in Blaydon-on-Tyne. The event uses a relay format with teams of three runners; competitors must be at least 16 years old and each team must include at least one male and one female. The published entry fee is £18 per team and the closing date for registrations is 30 June.
Entrants are asked to submit a team name and runner details; organisers will provide payment information to secure entries. Registration takes place at the race headquarters on the day of the event. Limited parking is available at the race HQ, with additional parking near the Land of Oak and Iron and near the tennis courts.
The event includes a presentation for the first three teams and recognition for the fastest male and fastest female leg. A bar will be open during the event and runners will receive a pie; a vegan option is available on request through the team manager.
