The event takes place on Sunday 13th December 2026 in Ashington Community Woods NE63 9JX. The race is a 5 kilometres trail run on solid paths, organised as two laps on a flat profile with marshals on the course. The entry limit is 100 runners and the race licence is listed as Not Applicable.
Race HQ is at Reiverdale Scout Group, Reiverdale Road, Ashington NE63 9GH. Free parking is available next to the HQ at Reiverdale car park NE63 9YY, which is a short walk past the toilets to the course. Baggage storage is provided on the course. Toilets are off course and water is available at the end of the race. The event is not suitable for wheelchairs and no dogs are allowed to run. Number collection takes place at the race HQ. Donations for the local food bank are accepted at race HQ.
Finishers receive goody bags that include a main gift, a medal, sweets, water and crisps. There are main and age related prizes. A charity cake stall and a craft stall will be present. Results and race day photos are published online. Entry fees are £19 for affiliated runners and £21 for unaffiliated runners. One pound from each entry goes to the Friends of the Woods.
